2009 All-Star Game Logo Unveiled

Before Saturday night's final regular season game against the lowly Toronto Maple Leafs, the Montreal Canadiens unveiled the logo for the 2009 All-Star game, and there she be up top.

Montreal Canadiens Team Owner George N. Gillett Jr, Team President Pierre Boivin and NHL Deputy Commissioner Bill Daly jointly announced Saturday that the 57th NHL All-Star Game will take place on Sunday, January 25, 2009 as one of the main events of the Montreal Canadiens’ Centennial celebrations.

The Habs also announced that the 2009 NHL Entry Draft will be held at the Bell Centre in June 2009. One of the NHL’s premier events, the Entry Draft will be part of the franchise’s 100th anniversary celebrations.

I'm fine with the logo. Not blown away by it, but it's pleasant. It's kind of like when you're approached by a homeless guy and he surprisingly doesn't smell like booze. I also do like how they included some stars in the logo. I never would have thought to do that! Those clever NHL marketing executives!
